New York Fashion Week isn't over yet, but today we count down our top 5 shows thus far.
The idea for Rodarte's Fall 2015 collection started with birds. The runway took place in a room covered with pastel colored lights and greenery on the ground; thus creating a whimsical look at fashion inspired by nature.
Highlights: Beaded mini-skirts, feather details, inventive patterns
4. kanye west x adidas originals
It's no surprise that Kanye likes to dabble into all creative mediums, he is an artist after all. His show with Adidas was a huge hit, and if you peeked into the audience you'd see some familiar faces: Rihanna, Jay Z, Beyonce, Alexander Wang, and Anna Wintour. It doesn't get much better than that. In case you're still set on Kanye being a complete moron, read his interview with style.com. He knows what he's doing, folks.
Highlights: Nude bodysuits, neutral tones, Kylie Jenner
3. Alice + Olivia
With makeup provided by Stila Cosmetics, Alice + Olivia's show catered to the feminine glamour in all of us.
Highlights: Intricate beading, floral jacquards, modern cat eyes + red lips
2. Jeremy Scott
With a variety of bright colors and fun clothing the show created a 1960's hippie vibe.
Highlights: extreme eyeshadow, multicolored clothing, and a sixties vibe
1. Opening Ceremony
Co-founders Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have been longtime friends of film director and skateboard connoisseur, Spike Jonze. Their newest collection features graphic prints, many of which highlighting Spike's photography from 1985 onward (including photos of musician/artist Bjork, Kim Gordon, and ex-spouse Sofia Coppola). It's a photographer's dream.
